The Night Night Nanny

Hello, I'm Sophie

I'm so pleased you've found me and I can't wait to help your family!

But before I get to know you, let me tell you a little about me...

I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a nanny. Even in primary school I would go to reception to look after the little ones. Inventing 'magic cream' (invisible cream) to put on their bumps and bruises to make them feel better after a fall.

I've been fortunate that my dream did come true. I've worked as a nanny since I was 16 and now I'm lucky enough to be raising my own girls (4 and 5). After 14 years caring for little ones I've gained a wealth of experience, knowledge and little tricks of the trade.

Now of course as soon as a baby is mentioned the first thing that comes to mind is Sleep? or indeed lack of it?

This is where my second passion came to light. As a nanny I took notice of routines, patterns of behaviour and my charges slept well. I thought about becoming a sleep coach back in 2016 but I thought I can't advise parents on sleep if I haven't had my own baby sleep well.

So in 2018 I put everything I had learned over the years into practice with my daughter. By 10 weeks she was sleeping 7-7, nearly 6 years on she's still the same.

Then in 2019 Ruby was born, so applied the same knowledge with her as I did with her older sister. Even with reflux and a unsettled start she too slept 7-7 from 13 weeks.

**When I say 7-7 I mean no wakes at all, from newborn to 10/13 weeks they slept 11pm-6am with one feed at 2am.**

So with my two sleepers under my belt and all the experience that came with it - I trained as a sleep coach in 2021.

and that's when my eyes were truly opened to the sleep deprivation pandemic. The sheer number of parents struggling through life, surviving on absolute bare minimum sleep, unable to cope just to be told "they'll sleep eventually". But what if eventually is too long to wait.

I'm wanted to change that 'eventually' to 'definitely'.

I wanted to be a lifeline for parents.

So I set up my business as a sleep coach straight away...

and i'm pleased to say I have now helped over a hundred families to sleep better.

My sleep recommendations are always tailored to each family and there is nothing I suggest to parents that I haven't already done with my own girls or nanny charges.

I pride myself on being affordable, good sleep shouldn't cost the earth - especially when maternity pay is already difficult to live off!

Head over to 'book sleep coaching' for my latest availability or fill in the contact form if you need help asap.

I hope to speak to you soon

Sophie
